A graduate of the London School of Economics, Phil organised and marketed conferences for a professional engineering institute before pursuing a career as a copywriter. After working with an international direct marketing business writing ads and direct mail, he moved into agencies specialising in employee communications and employer branding. A creative director by his mid-thirties, Phil went freelance at the end of 2005 and has since worked with a wide variety of advertising, design and branding agencies on a freelance basis. His work stretches from brochure copy and editorial for magazines through to print and broadcast advertising, websites and social media. Phil is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s Global Delivery Framework and an associate lecturer at University of the Arts London. He delivers training courses for a wide range of blue-chip corporations, government agencies and charities, while also teaching at French business school INSEEC. His work regularly takes him around the UK and he has also delivered marketing communications and copywriting programmes in a variety of European countries including the Republic of Ireland, The Netherlands, Italy, Germany, France and Spain.
